Study session 06

Trying out some landscapes because they're my kryptonite... But in the end it's really not that bad !
Also had the idea of studying frames with great lighting, but it might be too much at once and I struggle on too many things right now to focus on one thing at once. Maybe I'll do it again, but keep my focus on values, lighting and simple volumes.

I rushed this one because the trees got me too frustrated. Wanting to go too fast is a big struggle for me right now. Also the colors are fucked lol

I applied the technique of dividing the picture in three value groups. Learned it from Noah Bradley's Art Camp. It made a difference immediatly.

I slowed down for this one, finaly !! It does look like rocks, oh my god ! Still very messy though, I mixed the valued too much.

This one is my favorite, the shaped do look like rocks and I tried to give a feel of dimension and direction with strokes and I think it worked a little bit, and it's less boring than flat shapes. Hope to keep this going in the future !
